Nobuhiro Nakanishi

Nakanishi uses a laser print to mount his photos onto plexiglass acrylic to create his Layered Drawings.

As you know, I have a very soft spot for any 2D that indulges with sculptural properties, particularly those that also suggest time. But it has happen again, at it is starting to not be funny anymore, haha. Tell me what you think of this two, the first one, being by Nakanishi and the second one by me  (part of the studies for the Victim and Tyrant project).

A partir de entender el Espacio como lo unico que lo puede definir son sus limites, osea el espacio es todo y entiendo el espcio a partir de algo que me dice que es adentro, el espacio de dentro, el espacio de afuera, el espcaio de arriba el espacio de bajo... la materia viene como un juego dual, en donde la materia va a ser el que limite ese espcaio, el que le de sentido a ese espacio...

....sentia que al rehacerla hiba a poder aprender mas de ella que siendo solo un espectador

....lo cotidiano no solo como materia misma, lo cotidiano como un objeto lleno de cargas sociales, cargas de su uso cotidiano y real, de su relacion en  la sociedad, que al tomar este objeto cotidiano yo podia jugar con su sentido social, con su carga historica y transformarla, modificarla.

Brion Nuda Rosch

My gosh, I just found this image by Brion Nuda Rosch and the similarities to an image I made a few days ago are just ridiculous. Here I am again wondering if im a genius or simply is my memory playing dirty games with my sanity again. Have I seen this before and decided to forget and just appropriate this idea as my own? go on compare them and tell me what you think...

In any case, what ever you call it, selected memory or happy coincidences, this happenings excite me. 

But this is not the only work of his that strongly resonates with what i have been going on about for the past year or so, have a look at this other images:

But this findings have a double sided feeling to them. On one hand I feel I should somehow going on the right direction, on the other hand is difficult to not think is been done and there is no point in doing it again.    

And the dangers lays in the other works that don't look as anything i've done, which of course, is the majority of them, because they are almost like a car crash, i don't wanna see them for fear to end up making just bland terrible copies but I cant stop myself cos i just find them beautiful.
